The Friday 56

I spent so much time today hopping from blog to blog during the Blogmania tour that I did very little else. I am sitting here in vain hoping that my clothes will get done washing soon so I can go to sleep sometime tonight in anticipation of tomorrow's new work day. Oh well. Blogmania was super fun and I spent so much time reading blogs I didn't even get to visit all who participated.

Anyway, my whole point is that I completely forgot about one of my favorite memes The Friday 56!

It's Friday again and you know that means it time for The Friday 56. I found this meme on Reading At The Beach blog (which is a pretty awesome blog) but she links back to Tonya's blog at Storytime with Tonya (another blog that is fab). No matter who started it I love the idea of a shared scheduled specific glimps at a random book. So, here's how this works.....

Rules:
* Grab the book nearest you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
*Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
* Don't dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

So, the closest book to me right now is...

Where Dreams Begin by  Lisa Kleypas

"She would face social disapproval...Well, what did that matter? The one person whose approval had mattered most to her was dead."

You can buy this book at amazon.com Here

The reprercussions of that struck Drew with new fury. "Which means that now some fucking tattoo artist has my fucking cell phone number." He squeezed the steering wheel. "I just might strangle the little prick."

This book is the most recent edition to the Lori Foster library and one of her fabulistic SBC fighter books. I have only read a couple of her books but both were so so so good. I haven't done my review on My Man Michael because, well, I'm lazy. But I did do one for Causing Havoc.

Here is a link to Lori's website. Lori Foster.  I have read quite a few of her books and found her to be a terrific author.

Embrace The Night Eternal by Joss Ware

page 56--sentence #5

"The wolf lay in a bloody heap in front of her car, a dark pool seeping into the dirt and grass beneath it."

Sounds interesting. I haven't started reading this one yet. I just got it from the library and there are others I need to read ahead of it. But that particular sentence almost sounds as if it could open up the book even.

If you are interested in purchasing this book you can find it here...Embrace The Night Eternal

HAPPY FRIDAY!
So, the closest book to me right now is...

Sizzle and Burn by Jayne Ann Krentz

Page 56 lines 5, 6, 7 and 8....

"Zackary Jones. Call me Zack. I'm here to make a deal with you."
Okay, obviously she had just fallen down the rabbit hole.

Strange but true...I was reading this book earlier today and brought it down in case the family race to the computer didn't pan out well for me. I am currently on page 54.. It is now drilling through my OCD (undiagnosed....close friends say that I'm just super anal) brain that I have to stop what I am doing so I can read the book up to the end of the chapter now that I have teased myself with this meme. Oh, the end of the chapter also happens to be page 56.

Anyway, this book is part of the Arcane Society series written by Jayne Ann Krentz and her pen name Amanda Quick. This is the second book in the series that I have/am reading. The first one was White Lies which I really liked. This will link you to my review if you are interested....White Lies

If you would like to purchase this book it is available at amazon Sizzle and Burn
